Please take a few minutes to give us your input on developing a school calendar for the 2015-16 school year. We have emailed this survey to employees and students from grades 7-12. Our intention in placing it on our web page is to make it available to parents and other community members too. We encourage your participation and input in this process. The survey is located here.
January 12-16 has been proclaimed Adult School Crossing Guard Week by State Superintendent Tony Evers. His proclamation recognizes "crossing guards provide an invaluable service in helping to ensure safe passage of our youngest, most vulnerable pedestrians, children walking between home and school.
Here in Chequamegon District we do not have a large number of walkers as our 760 students are spread out over 750 square miles. However we do have a number of students that do walk in the Park Falls community. We have had a crossing guard situated to help students cross 9th Street North for the 4+ years I have been here and this year Sue Schemberger is serving our district and students in that role. If you get a chance thank Sue Schemberger for her dedication. She daily stands out there in all kinds of weather to see that our children who walk to and from school do so safely.
Thank you Sue and all other employees who have served in that role!
