Associated Bank Grant Awarded to Chequamegon Fab Lab!

The Chequamegon School District STEAM Class (Science-Technology-Engineering-Arts-Math) was awarded a $5000 Fund Grant on behalf of Associated Bank and the Greater Green Bay Community Foundation.  The grant is a philanthropic offering, intended to foster learning, innovation, and long-term solutions to unique issues in the community.

The funds will allow the class, which operates within the Chequamegon Fab Lab, to add a printing vinyl cutter to the existing engineering operation, which already includes a laser engraver, additional vinyl cutters, CNC routers, and 3D printers.  In addition to giving the students the ability to work through the engineering design process, it allows them to produce sellable goods, like water bottles, stickers, decals, and t-shirts, and offer them to their fellow students, Chequamegon staff, and the community at large.  Proceeds from these sales go back into the Lab, allowing the class to sustain and grow their operation, their offerings, and the opportunities for educational growth and community outreach.
