Hello, I am Karla Bluedorn. I have been living in and enjoying teaching in the Northwoods for the past 29 years. Most of that time was at St. Anthony School and the past two at Chequamegon Middle School. My early years were in the Lake Holcombe area. Upon graduating from high school I attended UW-LaCrosse and then transferred to Southern Illinois University and earned a degree in Health and Physical Education After teaching for a number of years in that area, I realized my heart was in the regular classroom and pursued a degree in elementary education from UW-Superior.
Much of my time is spent outdoors. Love to flower garden and do activities such as walking my dog Bandit (perhaps it is more accurate to say my German Sheperd walks me), kayaking, biking, snowshoeing, x-country and downhill skiing. My husband and I have two grown children, Tracy, and Travis, and our grandson Carter.
This year I will teach Math 7 and 8, Health 7 and Mini-Economy classes at Chequamegon Middle School.
