The USDA has extended their Summer Food Service Program, and any child 18 years or younger can get free hot meals (breakfasts & lunches) from CSD. They do not need to be enrolled to qualify
How it works; if the child is enrolled at CSD in grade 5 or lower, they can receive their meals for free without having to register. If the child is enrolled at CSD in grades 6-12, they can receive their meals for free the days they are in-person without having to register. Parents of 6-12 students would just have to contact their school's office for at-home meals, and students can pick them up as they leave on the days they are in-person. For any all-virtual students, parents can sign up for 5-day plans through Darlene at our South Campus HS office or Jackie at our North Campus office, and then pick the meals up on Thursdays, between 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. at the South Campus, or between 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. at the North Campus.
If you have any questions or wish to register, feel free to contact Darlene at the Chequamegon High School; (715) 762-2474 ext. 2221, or Jackie at the Chequamegon North Campus; (715) 264-2141 ext. 1224.
