Local Musicians Chosen for All State Band

On Saturday, January 18th, middle and high school students from the Chequamegon Bands performed in the National Band Association All-State Junior and Senior Honor Bands. Membership in the band signifies a level of achievement which places these student musicians in the top percentile among all students musicians in the State of Wisconsin.

The Junior All-State band was directed by Renee Rademaker, a well-known and highly respected music educator from Cumberland, Wisconsin. The Senior All-State Band was conducted by Dr. Linda Moorhouse, who is a Professor of Music and Associate Director of the School of Music at the University of Illinois. Dr. Moorhouse is an active conductor, clinician and adjudicator who is known both nationally and internationally.

The Honors band and the National Band Association - Wisconsin Chapter Annual Convention concluded with a Grand Finale Concert on January 18 at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh Concert Hall. Congratulations to these students and their families for an outstanding performance!
